We have heard some mutterings that not knowing the address of your accommodation could prove to be a problem when filling in your Passenger Locator Form (PLF) for your Greek holiday.
So we decided to see if we could figure out what might be the best way.
Generally in Kefalonia addresses are quite simple – most of the villages do not have street names or they are not widely used outside of the capital Argostoli. So all you need to write is the name of the hotel, the village name, Kefalonia and the postcode. Hopefully you know the name of your accommodation, but perhaps not the village or postcode, so have a look to see if they have a website or Facebook page – but please be careful, different accommodations can have the same or similar names. See if you can get hold of them through FB messenger – they’re sure to be helpful.
Failing that, ask on some local Facebook groups to see if anyone knows. There’s usually some residents in these groups and they’ll gladly share their knowledge, but don’t necessarily take the first answer, get it verified.
If you get nowhere through these channels then you might have to turn sleuth 🕵️. Look up the name of your hotel in Google maps and include ‘Kefalonia’, as village and hotel names are repeated across Greece. Then simply use the name of the nearest village you can see on the map. As for the postcode, you can find out by using the postcode finder tool in English here:
Still unsure – reply to the post on Facebook where you found this article and we’ll do our best to help.
